1) in 2001 recounted from data on houses
The regions differ in a share of the occupied dwellings with piped gas where the highest share counted in dwellings with a known information on piped gas was in Moravskoslezský region (82.9%) and the lowest in Jihočeský region (46.4%). The public gas supply network was the source of gas in all regions at least in 98.6%. Small differences between regions were in a share of the occupied dwellings with piped water (minimum 99.1%, maximum 99.9%), bigger differences were in a type of a connection to the water supply system. In the Capital City of Prague, more than 99% of occupied dwellings was connected only to public water supply network, while in Středočeský region this share was 81.7%. More than one tenth of the occupied dwellings in Středočeský and Plzeňský regions had wad only from a private water source.
The highest inter-regional differences are found in the case of ground-floor dwellings, whose share varies between 19.7% in the Capital City of Prague and 60.6% in the Středočeský region. Dwellings on the first floor were most frequently represented in the Liberecký and Karlovarský regions, where they accounted for almost a quarter of the occupied dwelling stock. The highest share of occupied dwellings on each higher floor of all regions was in the Capital City of Prague. The share of occupied dwellings on the 4th floor and above reached 30.8%, which is roughly double the average for the whole Czechia (15.0%). At the other end of the ranking in this comparison were Vysočina region (7.6%) and Středočeský region (7.9%), which is due to the below-average share of occupied dwellings in apartment buildings.
