The share of the population who stated the same municipality as their usual residence at the time of birth and at the time of the Census was the lowest at 41.6% in the Středočeský region and the highest at 56.0% in the Moravskoslezský region. The highest share of population with the place of residence at the time of birth in another municipality in the same district was in Vysočina region (21.6%) and the lowest in the Jihomoravský region (12.6%). With a proportion of 27.9% and 27.3% of the population living in another region at the time of birth, the Capital City of Prague and the Středočeský region stood out among the others. The Capital City of Prague also differed from the regions with a significantly higher share of the population living abroad at the time of birth (15.6%).

The share of the population aged one year and older who reported a residence in the year before the Census and had a residence in the same municipality as the Census exceeded 93% in all regions, and was highest in the Capital City of Prague and the Moravskoslezský region (both 95.7%). The proportion of the population who had a residence in another municipality in the district in the year before the Census was between 1% and 1.8% in all regions. Only in the Capital City of Prague and the Středočeský region did the proportion of persons whose residence in the year before the Census was in another region reached 2% or more, and only in the Capital City of Prague did the proportion of persons who lived abroad in the year before the Census reached 1%.
